Compare this school to our educational system in Nigeria
This would surprise you if I tell you it isn't a government private school. it is a mere public primary school in Malabo Equatorial Guinea.
Malabo Equatorial Guinea is a country that gained independence just 6 years after nigeria gained theirs, but they are far more developed than us as a Nation. Another surprising information about this countries educational system is that Education in Equatorial Guinea is free and compulsory from Six until the age of 14.
Imagine beautiful classrooms, convenient citadel of learning for students. Think about the free education till the age of 14 years.
But in Nigeria, to study in school today is a problem. Those who enjoyed free education in the 80s never given it back to the grand children of those who gave them free education. School fees is unaffordable, only few are able to send their kids to good schools because government secondary schools are nothing to write good about.
The same school buildings people in power went to and enjoyed free educations, those buildings are still there without anything being done to it . No improvement or renovations. No good school facilities that equips learning. There are no technical gadgets for practical learnings. This below school is just a public primary school, yet it has all it takes to feed her students with best educational knowledge they can get.
Their government too are corrupt, infact, which country will you go in this world where her leaders and politicians are not corrupt? No where . But this people still see the need to provide best educational system to their citizens.
We are in a country at which the leaders doesn't so believe in education, below is a picture of government eradicating education.
The Yoruba's and Igbo's believes in education, and this is why our children also must be educated so that they can bring great developments to our Nation. But the government will not do that because no one would invest in what they see as enemies of their belief.
Our youths and students are full of innovative ideas that can bring great development to the country, but they are never given the chance to express what they have got in head. They never supported them and this is why many are flying to where their gifts can be recognised.
Yoruba and igbo youths are doing great outside the country. Their gifts are recognised and paid for. They are most respected because of what they can offer to the outside government. We have heard of many Yoruba's and Igbo's doing well, breaking records of what even citizens of the countries cannot do.. this is because they are given the big chance to expressing and practicalicing what they have in head.
We have heard so many times about Boko- Harams and their insurgencies, this is because their belief is against education. The meaning of Boko- Haram is " Western Education forbidden" they knows what the result of education could bring to their system, so they are against it.
It is time to break away from a Nation that isn't working. We believe Education is a way to developing our Nation.
ODUDUWA REPUBLIC and BIAFRA NATION is the solution to this. We believe in education and the value it brings to us. We are ready to stand out better amidst other nations with the knowledge God has blessed us with.
ODUDUWA REPUBLIC and BIAFRA NATION is the SOLUTION.
