For a long time now, the issue of insecurity in the country is not balanced,every new administration promises to curb insecurity has always failed. And for this reason thousands of lives have been lost due to the fact that both the present and past administration has not been able to curb the challenges.
In the year 2009 when boko - haram insurgency was first known, it was nearly 1000 people that their lives during a clash between the nigerian soldiers and the militants in 4 different locations in the country which are Maiduguri, Bauchi, Borno and Yobe state.
Still in former president Jonathan's regime, scores were killed via bomb blast in worship centres and other sensitive places having large number of people gathered.
President Mohammadu Buhari came into power in the year 2015, promising to curb insurgency, even with that, more thousands of people are being killed each day by the hands of Boko- Haram, Bandits and herdsmen.. this reoccurring incidents has left more than 2million people displaced.
Also, benue Massacre isn't left out as fulani herdsmen took the life of 73 people just in 24 hours, living thousands displaced. Yet nothing was being done to it.
This time, herdsmen ranching their cattles and killing alot of farmers on their own land. Kidnappings, killings and rapings are their style of actings.They take joy in taking the life and virginity of others. Thank God for the governor's in who came together to form a local security force called AMOTEKUN on the 9th of January 2020.
The AMOTEKUN force we will commend so much for great job done in forest and villages.. protecting people from the so called herders wanting to ranch on farms and take farmers lives.
The Fulani herders have seen the Yoruba tribes as weak all this because one of them is presently on power sit. The AMOTEKUN's are trying their best to protect every citizens in the S/W who are in village areas, still yet the Fulani herdsmen never stopped their Kidnappings and killing. There is a limit to where the amotekun force can reach at a particular time. Dr. Aborode was murdered in cold blood on his own farm.
Enough of all this killings, only if the government gives us the go ahead to protect our own people, but they will never do so. For this sake, we are breaking away forcefully.
The 1914 amalgamation has ended 8years ago. We have endured the pain and cheat Lugard brought us into. We are going our own way, breaking the unfavourable marriage and no one can stop us. Not a person can change the decision we have taken a long time ago.
The Yoruba tribe are not the weak kinds of people , we are strong both in the traditional way and every other way of protection nigeria can think of.
We have the might to protect every ODUDUWA SON'S AND DAUGHTERS in the Oduduwa republic. Our Ancestor ODUDUWA protected his own people, so we are ready to do same to our brothers and sisters who we understand each other's language.
We are saying NO! to killings by the Fulanis. We are taking our freedom to form our own Dreamland Nation, we are able to protect our Oduduwa citizens from killings and Kidnappings.
We are able to give them good living and best provision, like heaven in earth.
All we agitate for is freedom for all.!!!
